The Silox group is the sole manufacturer of sodium hydrosulphite-based reducing agents with production plants on three continents. We operate via two manufacturing routes - zinc and sodium formate. We have a total capacity of approximately 50,000 tonnes.

Silox has many years of experience in this area. We have been manufacturing sodium hydrosulphite in Engis since 1949, via the zinc route.

This route is recognised throughout the world for the outstanding stability of the end product. This stability substantially enhances the product's performance, and considerably reduces the risk of decomposition and odours.

We have developed a comprehensive range of hydrosulphite-based reducing agents. Our products are sold in solid (HY-BRITE® and Hydros® ranges) and liquid (SiBrite) form. They have been developed to meet the specific needs of our customers.
